Senior Policy Advisor

Travis is the Senior Policy Advisor at E3G for US Climate Foreign Policy in E3G’s Washington office. He formulates E3G’s work on US climate diplomacy.

Travis is responsible for developing new policies and ideas to incorporate climate action into US Foreign Policy. This includes working with thought leaders and policymakers in the FP community; the US-China relationship; and rethinking US-partnerships with countries and communities in the Global South, including India. Outputs include reports, briefings, webinars, and workshops.

Travis has previous professional experience across Europe, China and the US in the climate and energy space. This includes most recently in D.C. at ClearView Energy Partners, as well as Allianz, the IERC, the Institute for Energy Efficiency in Production, and ConClimate GmbH. He has also contributed to and written white papers for the United Nations Economic Council for Europe.

He holds a M.Sc. in Politics and Technology from the Technical University of Munich, a dual B.A. with Honors in International Relations and German from Grand Valley State University, and a Certificate in Chinese Economics & Culture from Shanghai University.

In his free time, you can find Travis outside hiking, biking or snowboarding, as well as playing the occasional board game on a rainy day.
