Max Gruenig is a Senior Policy Advisor at the E3G Washington Office, focusing on US-EU climate diplomacy in a global context.

Max is primarily connecting the dots in the areas of climate, trade and development. In these three fields, Max supports the Climate Diplomacy team at E3G in setting up transatlantic dialogues between various entities: governments, legislators and civil society.
From 2007 until 2020, Max worked with the Ecologic Institute, first in Berlin and from 2014 on in Washington DC.
Max is a trained economist with a focus on emissions trading and game theory.
Outside of work, he enjoys gardening and experimental cooking & baking.
