Linxiao Zhu
Policy Advisor
Linxiao is a Policy Advisor at E3G’s Coal to Clean team, focusing on China’s energy transition.
Linxiao work involves researching China’s progress and policies on energy transition, particularly in relation to the build-up of coal-fired power plants, China’s emissions trajectories, and power security strategies. He also engages with industry stakeholders and diplomatic communities to contribute to a more sustainable energy transition.
Previously, Linxiao worked with the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies, International Energy Agency, and ClearView Energy Partners. He covered US, EU, and Chinese energy and climate policies, as well as the geopolitics that impact the energy market. Linxiao has advised numerous institutional investors and business executives at major energy corporations.
Linxiao holds an M.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, and a B.E. in Civil Engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University.
In his free time, Linxiao enjoys books, films, swimming, and globetrotting whenever he gets a chance.
