Danny Scull
Senior Policy Advisor
Danny Scull is a US-based Senior Policy Advisor, supporting E3G’s Sustainable Finance team. His work focuses on delivering public and private investment to enable a clean energy transition in developing and middle income countries.

Danny works with NGO partners and government entities to navigate the politics and funding challenges of the global energy transition. His motivation is to secure bespoke financing for clean energy infrastructure development, at the pace and scale necessary to curtail climate change. Drawing on his prior experience as a researcher with E3G’s Climate Diplomacy, Geopolitics, and Security team, Danny strives to facilitate country-level agreements to decommission coal and capitalize clean energy buildout.
Before shifting careers, Danny spent a decade in the music industry – running a recording studio in Brooklyn, NYC, and touring the world with his rock band. He has also worked as a consultant for the Sierra Club, modeling methane leakage rates in fossil fuel extraction and transport.
Danny holds an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a BA in History from Dartmouth College.
He enjoys snowboarding, traveling, playing the drums, and being a new dad.
