Ana supports E3G’s work driving ambitious decisions in the UNFCCC negotiations, shaping diplomatic coalitions and strategies to build the global institutions and political will to achieve faster climate action particularly around Adaptation and Loss and Damage. Among other tasks, as part of E3G’s COP team, she will produce daily political briefings summarizing UNFCCC negotiations and other COP processes.
Ana holds a BA in International Affairs and Sustainability from the George Washington University and a MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation by the London School of Economics. Until now, she has specialized in the effects of climate change in water security and financing water adaptation projects. Before joining E3G, Ana has worked for over 5 years in policy advocacy and research project management in a variety of institutions including WaterAid, the European Commission’s Directorate General for International Partnerships, the George Washington University, and the University of Guadalajara, Mexico.
Originally from Spain, Ana is also incredibly passionate about social justice, responsible travel, art, history, and dance.
